Massoud was a refugee in Iran for most of his life. While he was there, he worked for a women's culutural organization and took photographs and wrote for the weekly newsletter. He was jailed for hours in September 2003 after a gunbattle for taking photographs while on assignment for AINA Photo. Quote: "I can see my country more clearly than outsiders - I know the history, people and culture. I want to show my country as I see it.
