Jawed Jalali from Kabul graduated from high school in 2007. He started a course in journalism at Kabul University in 2006 and applied for the Aina Photojournalism course after hearing it advertised on the radio. After graduating in February Sohrab secured a contract through Aina to be the stills photographer for the first ever, Afghan soap opera.
